Every year on 10th September, the world pauses for World Suicide Prevention Day — a time to remember, reflect, and act. This year, and through to 2026, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP) have called us to embrace the theme: “Changing the Narrative on Suicide.”
For too long, suicide has been surrounded by silence, shame, and stigma. This narrative has left many suffering alone, believing their pain cannot be shared or understood. But together, we can write a different story — one where compassion replaces judgement, where open conversations replace silence, and where hope has the final word.
The FMH Commitment
At Free Mind Hive, we believe suicide prevention begins long before a crisis. We are committed to building Christ-centered, safe, and compassionate communities where no one has to walk alone. Our approach is:
Peer-led – Trained peers with lived experience offering empathy, understanding, and hope.
Trauma-informed – Safe spaces where the deep impact of pain is understood and met with care.
Christ-centered – Restoring lives through God’s love, prayer, and the truth that every life matters to Him.
Multi-sectoral – Working together with churches, schools, health providers, and community leaders.
Empathy-driven – Listening without judgment and affirming the God-given value of every person.
Campaign Activities – Changing the Narrative 💛
Peer Support Circles – Weekly safe spaces (in-person & online) for sharing, connection, and healing.
